Worked with a team of front-end and back end developers that coordinated with Editorial, Ad Sales, and Creative Services to develop new sections of million + visitor site as well as maintenance. Primarily developed sites from Photoshop mock ups.
Developed using Javascript and various frameworks like jQuery and Prototype, most recently overhauled heavily visited DHTML Slideshow galleries to implement Back Button and Bookmarking support for individual images using jQuery directly resulting in an increase of traffic. Developed one of the sites most popular sections the Wedded Bits blog, converting Photoshop PSD mock ups into Moveabletype Markup, HTML, CSS and integrating these templates into the site, configured Moveabletype admin area to enable easy updating of blog. Also initiated social network marketing strategy of the blog by integrating it with Twitter, Facebook and Technorati. Developed site's Facebook Landing page using FBML, CSS, Javascript and Flash, converted from a Photoshop PSD Mockup. Also helped create the proposal for Brides.com's Facbook strategy and designed a prototype of a Facebook Application. Directly responsible for the maintenance and updating of three prominent landing pages and related sweeps. Required coordination with Creative Services, Edit team and Quality Assurance. Coded over 20+ HTML Emails and tested them over multiple browsers and Email clients Developed 10+ micro sites for Marketing and Creative Services, which entailed converting highly detailed Photoshop mockups into pixel perfect JSP's, using CSS, JSP, Javascript and Flash. Recently developed a landing page for a micro-site that integrated with Moveabletype to take advantage of its easy commenting system greatly reducing the time it took to develop. - |
